What we collect, why, who processes it, and the choices you have.

01 Who is responsible
The data controller is Byte Size Curiosity LLC, a New York limited liability company, mailing address 41 State Street, Suite 112, Albany, NY 12207, operating creatorresearch.dev, subanalyzer.dev and YouTubeTranscript.dev. Contact: support@youtubetranscript.dev.
02 What we collect about you
- Account details: email address and sign-in method (Google, email code or password; passwords are stored hashed by our auth provider).
- Waitlist: if you join the waitlist, your email address and when you joined.
- Your research: the channels, videos and questions you give the research agent, and the results it produces for you.
- Usage: how often you run lookups, to apply rate limits and to cache results.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, server logs and essential cookies that keep you signed in.
The list of channels in your niche feed is saved in your own browser, not on our servers.
03 YouTube data
creatorresearch.dev shows public information about YouTube channels and videos: titles, view counts, upload dates, descriptions and public transcripts. It is fetched through a YouTube data provider when you ask for it and cached for a few minutes so repeat lookups are fast. Our research agent sends this public content to AI models to analyze it: why a video worked, its hook and structure, and the ideas it suggests for you. We don't collect data about the people who watch or comment on those videos.
creatorresearch.dev is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by YouTube or Google.
04 How we use your data
- To provide the service: run your research, analyze public YouTube content with AI models and show you the results.
- To run your account and send service emails (sign-in links, invites, password resets).
- To prevent abuse, apply fair-use limits and keep the service secure and working.
We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use your research or account data to train any model.
05 Who processes it
Only the providers we need to run the service, under their own privacy terms:
- A YouTube data provider: fetches public channel and video information. It receives the channel or video you asked about, never your account details.
- OpenRouter: routes public YouTube content and your research questions to AI models for the analysis. It never receives your account details.
- Supabase: accounts, waitlist and database.
- Render: hosting.
- Google: if you choose to sign in with Google, Google confirms your name and email address to us.
We may also disclose data when required by law.

08 Your rights
